With a top price of 74,000€ and an average price of 27,760€, the Flanders Foal Auction marked the best auction so far. Germany warmly embraced the jumping foals from the strict selection, Champagne was regularly popped and the atmosphere was festive.

Outstanding sport was seen last weekend at the "Tiemeyer x Hetzel Young Horse Masters," the most highly endowed tournament for top young show jumping horses, with a total prize of €150,000, held at Holger Hetzel's equestrian center in Goch.

The third final was secured by a guest from Switzerland—46-year-old Alain Jufer with F Ones Son MM, an eight-year-old gelding. The owners from Switzerland originally purchased the horse from Holger Hetzel in Goch.

It had been hinted at: The six-year-old Holsteiner gelding Uriel, sired by Uriko and out of Centurion won the final for six-year-old show jumping horses at the Tiemeyer x Hetzel Young Horse Masters with Sophie Hinners in the jump-off.

With Uriel she the second qualification, and with SMA Disney, secured second place in the qualification for seven and eight-year-old show jumping horses - this is a very good 'haul' for Nations Cup rider Sophie Hinners (Pfungstadt).

The opening day unfolded as desired: calm and welcoming.
