A victory, world ranking points and top placements at the year-end CSI2* in Lier

Laura and Laurens celebrated a fantastic year-end at the CSI2 Lier this past weekend. In a festively decorated arena radiating Christmas spirit, all horses delivered impressive performances. Highlights included a victory in the Youngster Tour and an outstanding second place in the Grand Prix. In short: a perfect ending before the year winds down peacefully. We are grateful and happy!

  • Angel d’Or (12-year-old by Askari) made her return after a long break, delighting Laura with three smooth, faultless rounds in the 1.30m classes, including the CSI* Grand Prix, earning two placings.
  • Carrera Crystal (7-year-old by Carrera VDL, auction horse 2023) secured a placing in a Youngster Tour class.
  • CSF Whipper Snapper VDL (8-year-old by Zirocco Blue) impressed with his exceptional talent in the arena. After a clear round in the opening class, the bay gelding finished the CSI2* Grand Prix in second place following a sensational performance in the jump-off.
  • Flaubert du Busson (9-year-old by Eldorado de Hus) delivered a faultless round in a 1.40m CSI2* class.
  • Hot Stuff EP (8-year-old by Hickstead White) and Laurens placed third and fourth in the Youngster Tour classes, before winning the final—a 1.35m class with jump-off. Remarkably, all three Youngster Tour classes featured 95 competitors!
  • Maggie Mae (7-year-old by Casall, auction horse 2024) showed faultless and exemplary rounds in all three Youngster Tour classes under Laura’s saddle. The mare’s new owners can rightfully be proud.
  • Metropolitan (7-year-old by Glenfiddich VDL, auction horse 2023) earned placings in two 1.35m CSI2* classes.
  • Stakkandra (10-year-old by Stakkato) delivered a relaxed clear round in a 1.35m CSI2* class.
  • Verdi’s Adel (10-year-old by Verdi) remained faultless in a 1.40m CSI2* class.

Our warmest congratulations go not only to our riders and team but also to the owners of these outstanding horses.

It was a perfect year-end that we cherish with gratitude and joy. With our wonderful four-legged partners in the stable, we look forward to the coming year with excitement—ready for new challenges and successes!
