Congenial, desirable and delightful are all synonyms for this fabulous mare!
She has the accurate conformation and smart personality to be the perfect equine sport partner. She’s also a dynamic and supple type with an abundance of natural energy and forward impulsion. The fact that she has some very talented jumping genes in her pedigree explains her careful jump, fast reactions, rationality and technique. Grateful is a well-schooled mare with exceptional jumping aptitude, rideability and charisma. She’s a light-mouthed and focused horse that completes round after round of jumps with complete composure. In addition to that, this mare is a dependable partner who confidently clears obstacles of any size with her even, rhythmic stride. She’s a responsive horse with perfect manners that deserves to be carefully brought on and moved up through the grades.
Diacontinus was an inspiring competition stallion with national and international placings in big classes and an illustrious sire that puts many other breeding stallions in the shade. In 2022 Diacontinus had 152 points and was in third place in the FN jumping sire index! That’s due to his exceptional qualities as competition horse and breeding stallion, and the performance of his offspring as well as the performance genes of Diarado, Contendro I and Argentinus. Carmelita, the dam, was a Grade A competition horse that produced top show jumping mare Oak Grove’s Darshana. Damsire Carry Gold unites the very finest of Holstein performance genes from the very best thoroughbred stallions Ladykiller xx, Cottage Son xx and Ranzau xx, which makes him so exciting from a breeding perspective. This stallion passes on his talent in two disciplines. Not only is he a superior show jumper, he has also been placed in advanced-level dressage classes. The pedigree is rounded off by Hanoverian stallion Salut.
Grateful rarely returns home from a show without a rosette. At the Tiemeyer x Hetzel Young Horse Masters she demonstrated a perfect mix of sweet temperament and nerves of steel. After two fantastic qualifying rounds the grey mare was placed in the 1.25m final with jump-off. She has also won 1.15m young horse classes and been placed highly at 1.25m level.
Anyone would be grateful for the opportunity to ride this mare.
