The definition of hot stuff is:
‘A person or thing of outstanding quality or skill’.
And it definitely applies to this talented mare.
Hot Stuff is a fine-looking lady; elegant and light-footed with a beautiful thoroughbred-type silhouette. Currently aged five, this long-legged mare boasts an excellent bascule, a big, powerful jump and an impressive attitude, not to mention her focus and fast reactions over obstacles. She’s also incredibly careful and demonstrates an excellent jumping technique. Every rider will appreciate this mare’s special qualities. She goes easily on the bit, has smooth paces and carries weight well.
Hot Stuff has inherited the valuable genes of Hickstead White, a consistently performing horse that made its mark on the international competition circuit with Tobias Meyer and Shane Dawn. Hickstead White is a coveted sire whose first excellent crop of foals arrived in 2016. Since then his offspring have been flying high in young horse classes. Hickstead White is hailed as a ‘unique example of genetic excellence’. His sire Hickstead won a gold individual medal at the 2008 Hong Kong Olympics with Eric Lamaze, and his dam Queentina was an exceptional competition horse. She won the Salzburg Grand Prix and was placed in World Cup classes.
Hot Stuff’s dam, Arcabelle de Chandor, is full sister to Saratoga Bois Margot (producer of Cassio Rivetti) and half-sister to Hold Up Premier (Eddie Brinkmann), Selectra Bois Margot (Gioffroy de Coligny) and Unfinity Bois Margot (Sander Geerink). The dam’s sire, L’Arc de Triomphe, has more than 100 international show jumpers among his offspring, the most successful being Qlassic Bois Margot (Simon Delestre) and 2021 Olympics competitor Ugolino du Clos (El Ghali Boukka), as well as Rokfeller de Pleville Bois Margot (Eduardo Alvarez Azinar).
Quidam de Revel enjoyed celebrity status during his lifetime, both for his achievements in the show jumping ring with Herve Godignon and for his qualities as a breeding stallion. Over recent years his offspring have dominated show jumping and breeding events, including the World Equestrian Games and the Olympic Games: e.g. Quel Homme de Hus (Jérome Guery), Sterrehof’s Calimero (Marc Houtzager) and Verdi TN (Maikel van der Vleuten).
Hot Stuff is a very capable mare. She’s ready to compete right away and top scores in young horse classes are guaranteed. The mare has been in a gentle training programme. She only had three competition outings as a four year old, winning all three classes after impressing the judges with her excellent technique. Although this year’s competition schedule has also been fairly quiet for Hot Stuff, she has won 1.15m young horse classes with scores in the high eights.
Hot Stuff is in a class of her own. She’s an athletic mare with a sensational jump and a very modern conformation.
Hot Stuff – a miracle of nature.
