A perfect start to the outdoor season for riders and visitors
Our Equestrian Sports Centre is following up its fantastic series of indoor shows with the perfect start to the 2023 outdoor season. We will be welcoming show jumpers from all over Germany and across the border to our first outdoor show from 27 April to 1 May.
The show programme extends from a leading rein class for the very youngest riders to a grand prix with EUR 10,000 in prize money. Over the five-day show there are no fewer than nine 1.25m/1.35m classes and six 1.40m classes. When we put the competition programme together we made sure it included classes for all levels of riders. In addition to classes for professional riders, the Amateur Tour offers non-professionals the opportunity to compete with their peers. There is also a Youngster Tour for young horses and an U25 Tour. This show also happens to be a selection venue for Rhenish young riders hoping to qualify for the Best of the Best competition in Warendorf, the most important national event for this rider age group besides the German Junior Rider Championships.
The shows at our Equestrian Sports Centre have been attracting a growing number of spectators and riders in recent years and some new innovations have been launched to kick of this year’s outdoor season. The already spacious outdoor arena with its state-of-the-art ebb and flow irrigation system has been widened by an additional 20 metres. The lounge, which opened last year, a kids play area and the May Ball on 30 April all add to this fantastic event’s appeal as a firm fixture in the equestrian social calendar.
Our priorities are excellent event organisation, ideal conditions for horses and riders, an uncomplicated entry process with deadlines close to the competition and the promotion of our sport! We do everything possible to create the perfect competition environment for the riders and horses, and a great experience for spectators.
