Fantastic season kickoff: 12 international placings at CSI2* Opglabbeek

Laura and Laurens have kicked off the international show season with a phenomenal start. At the always impeccably organized CSI Opglabbeek, their horses delivered outstanding performances, clearly showcasing the results of the hard work put in during the winter months.

Particularly impressive: both Laura and Laurens secured placings in the Grand Prix of the CSI2* and achieved consistently strong results with a total of 12 international placings.

  • Angel D’Or (13-year-old by Askari) is back! It was evident how much Laura enjoyed her rounds with her mare: after a fifth place in the 1.40m class, the duo placed ninth in a 1.45m World Ranking class.
  • CSF Whipper Snapper VDL (9-year-old by VDL Zirocco Blue) and Laurens once again delivered consistently strong rounds at the highest level: three starts, three clear rounds, a placement in the 1.45m World Ranking class, and another placement in the CSI2* Grand Prix . This marked their fourth international Grand Prix together—and their fourth placing!
  • Flaubert du Busson (10-year-old by Eldorado de Hus) secured a placement in a 1.40m class and finished seventh in a 1.45m class. In the Grand Prix, the gelding and Laura delivered a brilliant round and jump-off to secure 11th place and earn valuable World Ranking points.
  • Hot Stuff (9-year-old by Hickstead White) placed in a 1.40m class in the CSI2*
  • Maggie Mae (8-year-old by Casall, auction horse 2024) impressed with remarkable rounds: she finished sixth in a Youngster Tour class and placed 11th in the final.
  • Stakkandra (11-year-old by Stakkato) and Laura took fourth place in a 1.30m class in the CSI2*
  • Verdi’s Adel (11-year-old by Verdi) delivered three flawless rounds with Laura, finishing sixth in a 1.45m class
