11. Tik Tok
Pedigree
Positive vibes only!
Tik Tok has plenty of positive attributes including scope, intelligence and a careful jump. He is one of the powerful, dynamic and talented young horses in this year’s collection. This powerfully built gelding is unflappable. He’s always focused and concentrated over jumps – making the rider’s job very easy. What’s more, he’s responsive to aids, has a perfect jumping technique, an excellent attitude, and never spooks.
This willing gelding is an easy ride with a rhythmic canter that makes the rider feel perfectly safe and secure around a course of jumps. Tik Tok has an impressive number of young horse class placings under his belt, plus several clear rounds at his international youngster tour debut.
This gelding has a top sport horse pedigree and is a wonderful example of a second-generation descendant of Casall, producer of exceptional jumping stock, via his sire Zavall. Casall Ask is the Holstein region’s flagship competition and breeding stallion. Caretino, Casall Ask’s sire, is one of Holstein’s best sport horse producers with a lineage going back via the great Caletto II to sire of the century Cor de la Bryère. Casall’s dam Kira is the product of one of the most successful ever Holstein breeding lines (the 890 dam line). Ridden by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson he enjoyed a remarkable show jumping career, winning some of the world’s most prestigious Grand Prixs, as well as the Global Champions Tour, and competing at World Equestrian Games and European Championships. Casall is an absolutely exceptional sire. On many occasions he has competed in top-level classes against his offspring, e.g. Casello (Ludger Beerbaum), BSC Cha Cha Cha (Holger Wulschner), Caracas (Jos Verlooy), H&M Chilli Willi (Nicola Philippaerts), Wunschkind (Eric van der Vleuten) and Chicester (Annelies Vorsselmans). On the dam side Zavall’s pedigree boasts a proven Hanoverian bloodline that produced Grand Prix winner and top sire Orame.
The dam sire Casantos has a well-deserved reputation as both a competition stallion and a breeding stallion. He was no stranger to the international show jumping circuit and the majority of his offspring inherit his scope and jumping talent. Grand dam Windoctro Ryal also produced international sport horses Denychin Ryalk D Lobstination (Gianluca Gennusa) and Flying Dream (Vincent Vermeulen).
Indoctro back in the third generation adds even more performance horse genes. For years Indoctro has been one of the world’s leading jumping horse producers, both directly and via his dam line, and his offspring can be seen competing at international show jumping events.
