This gift of happiness is going to make somebody’s Grand Prix dreams come true.
‘Think big’ is this season’s motto. And A Present has all the ingredients to do just that: quality, scope and a positive attitude. This horse is a genuine Grand Prix prospect with unlimited scope, intelligence, a superb bascule and the heart of a lion. His mental clarity, courage, get-up-and-go and lightning-fast reactions are all attributes of an exceptionally talented competition horse. A Present bundles power and suppleness in a perfect frame, which is why he’s always perfectly balanced. He’s a sport horse trained to perfection with qualities under the saddle that never fail to impress the rider.
The six-year-old, Oldenburg-bred gelding is the product of the very best genes.
His sire Casallco is already a coveted sport horse producer despite his young age after producing crops of foals that all share his unlimited scope. During his competition career he notched up numerous wins and placings in Grand Prix classes. Uniting the lineages of Casall, Contender, Carthago and Calypso II, Casallco’s pedigree represents the very best Holstein bloodlines.
The damsire Verdi was Maikel van der Vleuten’s legendary international show jumping partner, successful competitor at two Olympic Games and one World Equestrian Games, three World Cup finals and in various Grand Prixs, gold medal winner at the WEG and the Europeans, as well as a team silver medal winner at the Olympics. Last but not necessarily least, Celano rounds off this impressive line of descent.
Six-year-old A Present’s competition track record is a real eye-opener, because he already has more than 30 placings. The gelding has earned excellent scores and placings in 1.25m young horse classes, and he already has several placings in international youngster tour classes up to 1.30m. Although still a youngster, he’s already demonstrated an excellent aptitude as a fast horse in speed classes and jump offs against the clock. He also qualified for the 6-year-old competition at the HKM Bundeschampionat in 2022.
